Resident Evil: Gets a Horrifying New Trailer on Netflix

Resident Evil is on the verge of wreaking havoc on Netflix, like a T-virus zombie hunting for someone to maul. We now get a brand-new peek at the series due to Netflix's Geeked Week. It's packed with gore, zombies, drama, and lots of Umbrella Corporation hijinks, which should come as no surprise to anyone. Take a look at the video below to see what I'm talking about.

Netflix's Resident Evil live-action series, based on the long-running video game genre, is taking an intriguing approach to the franchise. The show takes place in two different time periods. You'll see what's going on in 2022, just before the world falls apart due to the T-virus, as well as in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic 2036. For those who are familiar with the games, the storyline for Resident Evil 2022 will be similar to Resident Evil Village.

Ella Balinska, Lance Reddick, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti, and Turlough Convery are among the cast members of the series. It has nothing to do with the latest film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, in case you were wondering.

When Resident Evil premieres on Netflix on July 14, it will have an eight-episode first season. Make sure to check out the rest of our Geeked Week coverage.
