By Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy has reported that Walker Scobell, who played Adam in The Adam Project, is lobbying for a reunion between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the picture. After the success of the video game-focused action comedy Free Guy and the Netflix sci-fi adventure The Adam Project, Levy and Reynolds will team up again for the long-awaited superhero threequel, which is now set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Leslie Uggams’ Blind Al will also return in Deadpool 3, joining Reynolds.
Deadpool 3 Scobell’s Career
Scobell made his acting debut in The Adam Project, impressing Reynolds and Levy with his ability to channel a younger version of the Golden Globe nominee thanks to his extensive memorization of Deadpool 2. Scobell’s career has skyrocketed after the release of the Netflix film; he now stars in the family adventure Secret Headquarters on Paramount+ and will play the title character in Disney+’s future series based on Rick Riordan’s books. Scobell’s popularity is rising, and he wants to reunite with a co-star he worked with in his early films.
Shawn Levy recently spoke with E! Online, discussing the making of Deadpool 3. The filmmaker stated that Walker Scobell, who played Adam in The Adam Project, is just as excited about reconnecting with Ryan Reynolds for the film and is continuously pressuring Levy to make it happen. Deadpool 3 : Scobell’s role in film
Walker Scobell of The Adam Project has been fan-cast for multiple roles in Deadpool 3 following the success of his acting debut. Kid pool, a younger version of the original Merc with a Mouth who joined forces with Deadpool, Dogpool, and Squirrelpool to take on the cosmic entity known as the Awareness, is one of the most talked-about concepts. The idea of the Adam Project star playing a younger version of the hero is a hilarious and very self-aware expansion of the character, given Scobell’s enthusiasm for the Deadpool franchise and his enjoyment of performing alongside Reynolds.
Since it is still unknown how Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth will be introduced to the MCU in Deadpool 3, it seems unlikely that he, Levy, and original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will immediately go for a Kidpool inclusion in the film, especially now that they have officially got Jackman back as Wolverine. Filming on Percy Jackson and the Olympians is around halfway complete. With Levy having confirmed his desire to bring The Adam Project’s Walker Scobell back for the film, the time could be perfect for the two performers to rejoin. While that waits, fans of The Adam Project may watch the original on Netflix and relive their initial experience with the film.
